Elected representatives in government are in charge of the policy and funding that can make or break saving threatened species. Their decisions and actions matter.

Fisher has or used to have 31 threatened animals within its boundaries. One of them is me, the Pink Underwing Moth.

We took care to attach appropriate images that are as close to representative of each species as our resources and the availability of images allowed. However, we could not ensure perfect accuracy in every case. Some images show species that share the same genus but not at the species or subspecies level.

Status: Endangered

Phyllodes imperialis smithersi is only found within Fisher

The Pink Underwing Moth is a striking moth with leaf-shaped grey-brown forewings marked with white. The hindwings are black with a pink central patch and are fringed with seven or more white spots along the trainling edge. Its outstretched wings measure 13–14 cm across. The thorax and abdomen are grey-brown.¹

Fisher has or used to have 33 threatened plants found within its boundaries. Some of these might not be as photogenic as the Pink Underwing Moth but they're just as important.
